Tonkanas, released by the Italian brand Gourmet in 2024, is equally spicy and gourmand, with a strong musky side and smaller woody, amber and citrus touches.
The name blends tonka with ananas, the Italian for pineapple, and the scent pairs the two. Pineapple brings a juicy, tropical sweetness, and red apple a crisp, ripe fruitiness, while bergamot adds a fresh citrus lift. Black pepper, pepper and cinnamon give a dry, warm and sweet spice. The base is soft and creamy: tonka bean brings an almond-like, slightly hay-like sweetness, which is where much of the gourmand side comes from, Cashmeran a soft, musky woodiness, amber a golden warmth, and white musk and musk a clean finish.
The profile suggests autumn and spring, evenings and social occasions, as well as daytime when a fruity, warm scent fits. It is meant to be worn by anyone who likes juicy pineapple with spice and tonka, and who enjoys playful, fruity gourmands with a warm, peppery edge rather than purely sugary sweetness.
