Rose is present in layers here: Damask rose for a full, classic bloom, and rose water for a lighter, dewier tone, so the flower feels both lush and clean. Black currant adds a tart fruitiness, and currant leaf and bud bring a sharp, green, slightly bitter freshness that keeps the composition lively. Iris adds a cool, powdery softness between flower and wood. Cedar, including Virginia cedar, gives a dry, pencil-shaving woodiness that is the backbone of the scent, while white musk smooths it into a soft, skin-like finish.
As an eau de toilette it is a lighter, brisker take on a rose-and-wood theme, a feminine choice for daytime and for people who like rose fresh and slightly green rather than heavy.
