Ungaro pour L'Homme III, released by Emanuel Ungaro in 1993, is a woody floral for men with an aromatic, slightly boozy opening. Woods and flowers lead equally, herbs and citrus are strong, and a minority mention spice and greenery.

Lavender, sage and coriander open with an herbal, gently spicy freshness, while orange and lemon add citrus and vodka a cool, clean and slightly sharp lift; mahogany brings a smooth woodiness from the start. The heart is floral, with rose, jasmine, lily of the valley and geranium giving a soft, rosy and green bouquet. The base is sandalwood, musk, vetiver, oakmoss, patchouli and cedar, a classic dry, mossy and earthy finish.

Wearers are split between moderate and long-lasting wear, and the trail is mostly moderate. It is voted for autumn and winter and worn by night slightly more than by day. That suits evenings, dinners and cooler days, for men who like a refined 1990s scent with a floral heart.
