5th Avenue is a floral through and through, with spice, sweetness, wood, musk and citrus each noticed by only a few. Elizabeth Arden released it in 1996 as a feminine fragrance, composed by Ann Gottlieb.

The opening is bright and green-floral: bergamot for citrus, with linden blossom and lily of the valley giving a fresh, dewy, slightly honeyed spring bouquet. The heart deepens into a classic rich floral, with Bulgarian rose, jasmine and tuberose at the centre and nutmeg lending a gentle, warm spice. The base is warm and powdery: iris for powder, and vanilla with musk for a soft, lasting finish.

Most wearers report moderate longevity and moderate sillage, with a minority finding it long lasting or intimate. It is voted mostly for spring, then summer, and overwhelmingly for daytime, which makes it a polished, office-friendly floral for someone who likes a traditional, well-mannered perfume that does not shout. It is sold in a 30 ml bottle.
