Star anise and mandarin orange open it, a cool liquorice spice next to a sweet citrus. The heart is where the character lies: jasmine and gardenia give a heady, creamy white floral, and liquorice adds a dark, slightly bitter sweetness that runs against the flowers. The base of vanilla, amber and woodsy notes is warm and smooth, with vanilla softening the liquorice and amber adding a glow.
