Orange blossom gives the opening a soft, honeyed floral brightness, the only light element before the warmth takes over. Papyrus adds a dry, slightly smoky, woody note that keeps the blend from becoming heavy. The core is labdanum and amber, warm, resinous and faintly leathery, with incense adding a cool, smoky thread. Bourbon vanilla brings the sweetness and the creamy, rounded finish, which is where the gourmand side comes from.
It is worn by anyone. No community reports have been gathered yet on longevity, sillage or season, so there is no firm wear data; a vanilla amber with incense of this kind suits autumn and winter evenings, and people who enjoy warm, resinous Middle Eastern style compositions from a European house.
