Dolce di Giorno, or sweetness of the day, is a 2013 fragrance from the Italian house Bois 1920. Wood leads, a fair share of people note spice, and smaller groups find sweetness, citrus and resin.

Grapefruit and bergamot open with a bright, slightly bitter citrus, while thyme brings a green, herbal note. Cinnamon, pepper and cardamom add warmth and a gentle spice, and plum a soft, jammy fruit. The base is a deep woody blend: cedar for crispness, guaiac wood for smoke, sandalwood and cashmere wood for creamy softness, and vetiver, patchouli and cypriol for earthy depth. Labdanum and vanilla add a warm, sweet resin.

It is shared and worn by anyone. Dolce di Giorno is comfortable for daytime wear, the office and weekends, especially in autumn and spring, and should please people who like warm, spiced woods without heavy sweetness.
