Enclave from Amouage, released in 2020 and composed by Julien Rasquinet, is a spicy leather with a cool, minty opening. People describe it as spicy first, with woody and resinous facets for about half and fresh, floral and amber touches for a quarter.
It opens with cinnamon, pink pepper and cardamom cut through with peppermint and spearmint, so the heat of the spices arrives with an icy freshness. The heart is rose and frankincense over patchouli and vetiver, a smoky, earthy floral. The base is leather with labdanum and Amber Xtreme, a dry, resinous, long-lasting warmth.
