Japanese, released by the Qatari house Al-Jazeera Perfumes in 2023 and composed by Sophie Labbé, is a woody amber scent worn by anyone. Everyone who describes it calls it woody, and about half each add spicy, floral, resinous, amber and citrus, which suggests a balanced, many-sided composition.
The notes are listed without a formal pyramid, so their order over time is not recorded, but they sort themselves naturally. Bergamot and pink pepper would supply a bright, lightly spiced opening. Jasmine gives a soft floral middle, and patchouli an earthy depth.
