Indian jasmine sits at the centre, warm, rich and slightly heady, but the materials around it are what give the scent its character: hay brings a dry, sweet, sun-baked greenness, beeswax a soft, honeyed, slightly animalic warmth, and tobacco a dry, leafy depth.
