Elemi opens it with a bright, lemony, peppery resin, the one fresh element in a composition that otherwise heads straight for depth. Agarwood (oud) is the centre, smoky, resinous and a little animalic, and it defines the scent's woody character. Suede softens it with a smooth, velvety leather that is warmer and less harsh than a rough hide note, and vanilla closes the base with a creamy sweetness that takes the edge off the oud and gives the drydown a gourmand lean.
With only a handful of notes, it is a focused scent about oud made approachable with vanilla and suede. It suits cold weather and evenings, and should appeal to men who want something darker than the usual fresh sports scent without going fully into traditional oud territory.
