Saffron gives the opening a warm, leathery and gently honeyed spice. The heart is resinous and smoky: incense brings a dry, ceremonial haze, while benzoin and Tolu balsam add a sweet, balsamic, vanilla-like warmth. The base is rich and enveloping: amber gives a golden, glowing sweetness, ambergris a soft, salty, skin-like radiance, vanilla a creamy depth, patchouli an earthy richness and musk a smooth, close finish.
Unisex in spirit, it suits people who love classic, enveloping ambers. Named after the constellation Orion, it suits winter nights, autumn evenings and formal or celebratory occasions where a warm, rich fragrance is welcome.
