Vinegia 21 is a woody, spiced oud with a praline sweetness, released by The Merchant of Venice in 2021 and worn by anyone. Woody is the leading impression for everyone; spice and sweetness follow for about half, with amber noticed by a quarter. Saffron and cinnamon give the opening a warm, leathery, slightly sweet spice. Agarwood is the dark centre, resinous and faintly animalic, backed by akigalawood, a patchouli-derived material that smells peppery, woody and smooth. Incense adds a dry, resinous smoke. The base turns sweeter with praline, a nutty caramel note, alongside vanilla, sandalwood and patchouli, so the finish is warm and rounded rather than austere.
