Despite its name, Amber Room from the British house Thameen leads with spice. Released in 2018, it puts warm spices first, with rose close behind and a smaller share of wood, amber and citrus.
Bergamot gives a short, bright opening before coriander and a blend of spices take over: coriander has a slightly citrusy, seed-like warmth, and the spice blend adds a dry, peppery glow. Turkish rose forms the heart, deep and slightly jammy rather than dewy. Cedar and amber make the base, the cedar dry and straight, the amber resinous and softly sweet, so the rose and spice sit on a warm, glowing foundation.
