Oud Gaiac

Oud Gaiac, from the British brand Sentier, came out in 2024 and is described equally as gourmand and woody, with a strong spicy side and smaller floral and citrus touches.

Bergamot and apple open it with a fresh, juicy brightness, while black pepper and pepper add a crisp, dry spice. In the heart, ylang-ylang brings a creamy, exotic floral sweetness and honeysuckle a soft, nectar-like note. The base pairs two smoky woods: agarwood, or oud, gives a resinous, slightly animalic depth, and guaiac wood a smoky, almost tar-like softness. Vanilla wraps them in sweetness, which is where much of the gourmand character comes from and makes the oud approachable.
