Gold Queen

Gold Queen is a rich, sweet woody gourmand from the Italian house Roccobarocco, released in 2018, composed by Maurizio Cerizza and marketed for women. Gourmand is how everyone describes it, most also find it woody, and a good share notice flowers, amber or citrus, with greenness mentioned by a few. The note list is long, so expect a dense, layered scent.

White peach, mandarin orange and yellow mandarin open it with a juicy, sweet, sunny fruit, and pink pepper adds a rosy, lightly spicy sparkle, while wormwood brings a bitter, green, slightly medicinal edge that keeps the start from being purely sweet. The heart is caramel and coffee, buttery and roasted, with fig adding a milky, green fruitiness, iris a cool, powdery softness, and rose a warm floral thread. The base is cashmere wood, sandalwood and tonka bean, soft, creamy and almond-sweet, with amber, white amber and musk giving a warm, radiant, skin-like finish.
