Grapefruit opens it with a bright, slightly bitter citrus, joined by lavender for an aromatic, herbal freshness. Salt and mineral notes give the heart an unusual, stony, sea-spray edge, with cypress adding a green, sappy woodiness. The base is where the sweetness lies: vanilla caviar gives a rich, dark vanilla, coconut a creamy softness, benzoin a sweet balsam, and cedar, oakmoss and moss a dry, earthy, forest-floor depth that keeps it from becoming cloying.
