Ambrette and saffron open it, the ambrette a soft, slightly nutty vegetable musk, the saffron dry, warm and faintly leathery even before the leather itself arrives. The heart pairs ginger with suede: the ginger adds a tingling, slightly sweet heat, and the suede a velvety, powdery softness that is gentler than full leather. The base is leather and musk, smooth and warm, with the leather smoky at the edges and the musk keeping everything close to the skin.
The result is a leather that whispers rather than shouts: spiced, soft and intimate. It suits someone who likes the idea of leather but finds most versions too harsh or smoky, and who wants a refined, close-wearing scent for cooler weather and evenings.
