Acqua Zenzero from Laurent Mazzone Parfums, composed by Vincent Ricord and released in 2021, is built around ginger. Everyone who describes it calls it spicy and woody; about two thirds add green, and a third find it musky or floral.
The notes are given as a single list. Ginger opens fresh, zesty and warm at once, and cardamom and nutmeg deepen the spice, cardamom cool and aromatic, nutmeg drier and sweeter. Pepperwood adds a peppery, slightly woody heat. Jasmine gives the middle a light floral softness. Moss and oakmoss provide the green side, damp and faintly bitter, and the base is vetiver for a dry, smoky, rooty wood, sandalwood for creaminess and musk for a soft finish.
It is worn by anyone. Community reports on longevity and sillage have not yet been collected. The spicy-green freshness suits spring and summer days as well as mild evenings, and someone who likes ginger scents but wants more wood and moss than the usual sparkling citrus.
