Flower in the Air by Kenzo, released in 2013 and composed by Alberto Morillas, is a light, fruity floral. Flowers lead clearly, with spice, sweetness and musk in smaller measure.

It opens with raspberry and pink pepper, a tart berry sweetness lifted by a sparkling peppery edge. The heart is a soft bouquet of magnolia, gardenia and rose: magnolia brings a lemony, creamy freshness, gardenia a richer white-floral note, and rose a gentle petal softness. The base is white musk, clean and airy, giving the flowers a weightless, freshly laundered finish.

Most wearers report moderate longevity, and the trail is evenly split between intimate and moderate. It is voted mainly for spring, then summer, and exclusively for daytime. Kenzo's Flower in the Air suits office days, brunches, spring walks and anyone who wants an easy, optimistic floral that stays close and never feels heavy.
