Bergamot gives a bright, slightly bitter opening, while elemi adds a fresh, lemony resin and saffron a warm, leathery spice. The core is agarwood, or oud, dark, resinous and slightly smoky, supported by leather's smooth texture and styrax's balsamic sweetness. The base is layered with woods: cedar gives a dry structure, sandalwood a creamy smoothness, patchouli an earthy depth and oakmoss a damp greenness, while vanilla, white musk and musk soften everything into a warm, skin-close finish.
