A radiant white-floral parfum, Le Parfum Lumière is Elie Saab's 2021 composition by Francis Kurkdjian. Almost everyone describes it simply as floral; a minority also notice its woody, musky, amber and citrus sides, which are there to frame the flowers rather than compete with them.
The bouquet is dense and sunny: jasmine sambac, gardenia, tuberose and orange blossom are all heady white flowers, and together they give a creamy, slightly honeyed richness, with ylang-ylang adding a soft, banana-like sweetness. Mandarin orange brings a little sparkle to the blend. Patchouli and woody notes stop it from floating away, giving it an earthy anchor, while amber and musk warm the finish and make it feel like skin rather than petals.
