Eau Sauvage Extreme is a woody fragrance from the French house Dior, released in 1984. Wood leads, with a strong herbal side and green, floral and citrus touches.

Lemon, bergamot, lavender and basil open with a bright, herbal and aromatic citrus. The heart brings rosemary and bay leaf, which add a dry, herbal spice, alongside jasmine, aldehydes and orris root, which give a soft, slightly powdery floral sparkle. In the base, oakmoss, cedar and patchouli create a dry, mossy and earthy finish, with amber and musk adding warmth.

About half of wearers find it long lasting, and most report moderate sillage. It is voted for autumn and spring and mostly for daytime. This masculine scent suits the office and smart occasions, and someone who likes a deeper, more concentrated take on the classic citrus-aromatic style, with more moss and patchouli.
