1881, released by the Italian house Cerruti in 1995 for women and composed by Claire Cain Miller, is a floral fragrance with lighter woody, spicy, green, musky and citrus touches.

Bergamot, mimosa and violet open with a soft, fresh and slightly powdery floral brightness. The heart is a rich bouquet with narcissus, chamomile and iris, honeyed, herbal and powdery, lifted by galbanum's green snap. The base is smooth and warm, with sandalwood providing a creamy woodiness, vanilla a soft sweetness and musk a clean finish.

Most wearers find it long lasting or moderate, with a moderate sillage. It is voted mostly for spring, followed by summer, and largely for daytime, making it a natural choice for the office, lunches and daytime events. It should appeal to anyone who enjoys classic, refined floral bouquets with a herbal-green freshness and a soft, powdery character.
