White Amber from the Italian house Cave, released in 2025, is a soft gourmand floral with a marine freshness and a warm, salty amber base. Everyone who describes it calls it gourmand and floral, and about half also notice spice, wood, musk and freshness.
Marine notes and sea water give the opening a cool, salty breeze, while black pepper adds a dry sparkle and fruity notes a juicy sweetness. The heart is light and floral: lily of the valley brings a dewy freshness, rose a soft petal note, and white and transparent flowers an airy, clean glow. The base is where the white amber of the name forms: ambergris gives a salty, skin-like radiance, ambrette a musky, pear-like warmth, caramel, vanilla and tonka bean a creamy sweetness, and cedar, sandalwood and cypriol a woody depth.
