Black pepper, pink pepper and pimento give the opening a dry, rosy and clove-like spice, while apple adds a crisp, juicy sweetness and neroli a fresh orange-blossom lift. Frankincense, also listed as olibanum, brings a dry, lemony smoke. The base is dark and earthy: oakmoss and moss give a damp, forest-floor greenness, patchouli an earthy richness, cedar a dry structure, vetiver a grassy smokiness and amber a warm glow.
