Amber Empire by Atkinsons, composed by Maurice Roucel in 2015 and worn by anyone, is an amber built around tea and incense. People describe it as sweet, green, woody, resinous and amber-like all at once, with everyone agreeing on all five, which reflects how balanced its five notes are.
Oolong tea is the unusual element: a dry, slightly smoky, faintly floral tea note that gives the scent its green side and keeps it from being purely warm. Incense adds a cool, resinous smoke, and myrrh a dry, bitter, balsamic depth. Vanilla brings the sweetness, creamy and smooth, and sandalwood a milky, soft wood, so the base settles into a warm, slightly smoky, gently sweet glow.
It reads as a refined amber for autumn and winter, less sweet and more smoky than most, suited to someone who likes tea and incense and wants an amber that feels calm and dry rather than rich and dessert-like.
