Alma Nera, released by Ars Mirabile in 2016, is equally woody, floral and citrus, with spicy, musky and amber sides in support.
The name means black soul, and the scent is warmer and darker than its title might suggest at the start. Bergamot and orange open it with a bright, juicy citrus sparkle. Cloves bring a warm, slightly medicinal spice, and rum a boozy, sweet warmth. In the heart, rose gives a velvety petal note and orange blossom a clean, honeyed sweetness. The base is warm and smooth: woody notes and precious woods give a polished woodiness, vanilla a creamy sweetness, amber a golden glow and musk a soft finish.
The profile suggests autumn and winter, evenings and social occasions where a warm, spiced floral fits. It is meant to be worn by anyone who likes citrus and rose over boozy rum, clove and soft woods, and who wants a warm, enveloping scent with a bright opening rather than a purely dark one.
