Viola, a 2016 fragrance from the Italian house Angelo Caroli, is a violet soliflore with a clean, citrus frame. Everyone who describes it calls it floral, a good number add musky and citrus, and a minority mention wood.
Sicilian lemon opens it with a bright, sunny zest. Violet is the heart, soft, sweet and slightly powdery, supported by rose, full and faintly honeyed, and carnation, which adds a clove-like, peppery warmth. Geranium brings a rosy, green, slightly minty note, and white flowers a creamy lightness. The base is simple: vetiver gives a dry, grassy woodiness, and white musk and musk a clean, skin-like finish that keeps the violet soft and close.
