Jubilation 25 Woman, composed by Lucas Sieuzac for Amouage in 2007, is a rich floral with a deep, resinous and ambery base. Flowers lead, woods, resin and amber all feature strongly, and a minority notice leather and citrus.
The opening blends ylang-ylang, lemon, rose and tarragon, a creamy floral brightness given an aromatic, slightly anise-like edge by the tarragon. The heart deepens with artemisia, labdanum and incense, where artemisia adds a bitter, herbal greenness and labdanum and incense a smoky, balsamic warmth around the rose. The base brings amber, patchouli, vetiver and myrrh, a warm, earthy and bittersweet finish.
Many wearers find it long lasting and a sizeable share call it eternal, while the trail is moderate to strong. It is voted for autumn and winter and worn by day and night almost equally. It suits formal occasions, cool-weather evenings and anyone who enjoys a complex, incense-laden floral.
