Freesia & Bergamot by the British house Yardley is a bright, spiced citrus floral for women. Citrus is the word everyone uses; about two thirds also call it spicy, woody and floral, and a minority find it musky or amber-like.
Bergamot, lemon and mandarin orange give it a fresh, zesty opening, with ginger and pepper adding a warm, tingling spice straight away. The heart is light and clean: freesia for a peppery, slightly green floral note and lily of the valley for a crisp, dewy sweetness, with cypress adding a dry, resinous green. The base is warmer: sandalwood for a smooth wood, amber for a gentle glow and musk for a soft finish.
