Pepper, ginger and cardamom open it with a bright, zesty, slightly cool spice. Elemi adds a fresh, peppery, lemony resin. The heart brings rose and mimosa, the rose soft and rich, the mimosa powdery and gently honeyed. The base is where the resin builds: incense and myrrh give a smoky, balsamic depth, labdanum and benzoin a warm, honeyed sweetness, while cedar and patchouli provide a dry, earthy frame.
