Spicy above all, Golden Green is a 2020 release from Xerjoff, with most people also noting wood and amber, and smaller groups finding sweetness, resin and leather.
The top is aromatic and brisk: nutmeg and cardamom give a warm and cool spice, juniper berries a fresh, gin-like note, and pink pepper a light sparkle. The heart grows darker and drier, with labdanum for a honeyed resin, leather for a supple texture, cedar for crisp wood, incense for smoke and vetiver for an earthy root. In the base, coffee adds a roasted, slightly bitter warmth, cypriol a smoky depth, and ambergris and musk a smooth, salty finish.
Golden Green is shared and can be worn by anyone. It suits autumn and winter, evenings and smart occasions, and should appeal to people who like spicy leather and incense compositions with a coffee twist.
