Stockholm 1978 by Vilhelm Parfumerie, created in 2015 by Jérôme Epinette, is a balanced composition in which spice, sweetness, greenery, flowers, herbs and citrus are all noticed in equal measure.
The top is bright and slightly unusual: lemon gives a fresh zest, black pepper a dry spark, and almond a soft, nutty sweetness. In the heart, rosemary adds a green, resinous herb and geranium a rosy-green floral note. The base is darker and earthier, with patchouli for depth, moss for a damp, green bitterness and black amber for a warm, smoky glow.
It is shared and can be worn by anyone. Stockholm 1978 has a slightly retro, Scandinavian-cool feel, suited to the office, autumn and spring and smart casual evenings. It should appeal to people who like aromatic fougère-style scents with an almond twist.
