Oud 07 from Swiss Arabian, composed by Jordi Fernández in 2021, is a sweet, woody oud amber. People describe it as gourmand, woody and warm with amber in equal measure, with about half also finding it spicy, musky and floral.
Saffron opens it with a warm, dry, slightly leathery spice, and rose adds a soft, slightly jammy floral warmth. The core is agarwood and akigalawood: the former dark and resinous, the latter dry and peppery, together giving the scent its woody depth. The base is where the sweetness builds, with praline bringing a nutty, caramel-like warmth, vanilla a creamy smoothness, amber and white amber a resinous glow and musk a soft, lasting finish.
It is worn by anyone and suits autumn and winter and the evening, for someone who likes oud and saffron sweetened with praline and vanilla.
