Bitter End is a sharp, green scent built around herbs, grass and moss, released by the Irish house Roads in 2014 and composed by Christian Provenzano. It is worn by anyone.

Mint, thyme and grass open it with a cool, sharp, freshly cut greenness, with fig leaf adding a milky, slightly bitter leafiness. Olive brings a savoury, oily, green note that is unusual and distinctive, and violet a soft, powdery floral touch. The base is fern, oakmoss and vetiver, dry, earthy and forest-like, so the greenness persists rather than fading into sweetness.

It suits spring and summer and daytime wear. Anyone who likes bitter, herbal greens with no sweetness should find it a rewarding and characterful wear, closer to a garden than a perfume counter.
