Spigo

Spigo is a sweet, musky lavender from the Italian house Profumo di Firenze, released in 2018. People describe it as gourmand and musky in equal measure, and about half also find it fresh, aromatic or ambery.

Lavender is the centre, clean, herbal and slightly floral, and it is sharpened at the start by eucalyptus and camphor, which bring a cool, medicinal, almost bracing freshness. Green notes add a leafy lift. The composition then softens considerably: tonka bean brings a warm, almond-like sweetness, vanilla a creamy depth, and together they turn the lavender from something brisk into something comforting. White musk and musk give the base a clean, skin-like softness, and amber a gentle, lasting warmth.
