Grapefruit and bergamot give a bright, slightly bitter opening, with lavender and rosemary adding the clean, herbal, barbershop freshness that defines the style. Cedar and sandalwood form the woody base, dry and creamy, vetiver adds an earthy, rooty dryness, and ambergris gives the drydown a warm, salty, skin-like finish.
