Fiamma is a sweet, woody amber with leather, honey and resins, released by the Italian house Moresque in 2016 and composed by Andrea Casotti. It is worn by anyone.
Juniper berries open it with a dry, resinous, gin-like coolness, joined by cypress for a green, sappy woodiness. The heart brings honey, thick and golden, and iris, cool and powdery, an unusual pairing that gives the scent both richness and refinement. The base is warm and deep: leather gives a supple darkness, myrrh and resins a dry, balsamic smoke, patchouli an earthy edge, vanilla a soft sweetness, and amber and musk a long, enveloping finish.
It suits autumn and winter and evening wear. Anyone who likes honeyed ambers with leather and resins should find it a strong fit.
