The opening is aromatic: cardamom gives a cool, airy spice, black pepper a dry prickle, bergamot a citrus lift and davana a boozy, fruity note. The heart combines vanilla and saffron, sweet and leathery, with rose for a soft floral touch and black tea for a smoky, tannic dryness. The base is deep and glowing, with frankincense and styrax for resinous smoke, tobacco and honey for a golden, slightly sweet warmth and oud for a dark woody core.
