Black currant opens it with a tart, slightly green fruitiness, and saffron adds its dry, leathery spice. The heart is where the gourmand side shows: caramel brings a buttery, cooked-sugar sweetness and cocoa a dusty, bitter chocolate note, with rose adding a dark, jammy floral between them. Underneath, agarwood gives a deep, resinous wood, frankincense a dry smoke, and leather and patchouli a supple, earthy anchor that keeps the caramel and cocoa from cloying.
