Royal Muska by M. Micallef, composed by Jean-Claude Astier in 2008, is a soft musk with a fruity, floral opening. Musk is what everyone picks up; about half also describe it as sweet, woody and floral.

Peach and rose open it together, the peach ripe and slightly creamy, the rose clean and gentle, so the first few minutes are fruity and pretty rather than musky. The heart brings in precious woods, smooth and faintly sweet, and the first layer of musk, which begins to soften the edges. The base is white musk alone, clean, powdery and skin-like, and this is where the scent lives for most of its wear, with the peach and rose lingering as a faint sweetness inside it.

Most wearers report moderate longevity and a moderate to intimate trail, as you would expect from a musk this soft. It is voted evenly across autumn and spring and mostly for daytime. It suits someone who wants a clean, close-wearing scent that smells like warm skin with a hint of fruit.
