The opening is cool and green: cypress gives a resinous, pine-like freshness and green notes a crisp, leafy edge. The heart is the incense, a dry, smoky and slightly lemony note, paired with French labdanum, which brings a warm, sticky, ambery resin. The base is musk, soft and close, letting the smoke settle into something calm and contemplative, much like the stone and wax of an old church.
