The opening is bright and sparkling: aldehydes give a soapy, fizzy lift, bergamot and lemon a citrus freshness, coriander a light spice and fruity notes a soft sweetness. The heart is a classic floral bouquet of rose, jasmine, orange blossom and lily of the valley, clean and full. The base is rich and very much of its era, with tonka bean, vanilla and amber for a warm, powdery sweetness, sandalwood and cedar for woods, and oakmoss, patchouli, musk and civet for a deep, slightly animalic finish.
