It opens with lemon, bergamot and mandarin, sharpened by green notes and lavender. The heart is unusually floral for a men's scent, with jasmine, rose, carnation, iris and hyacinth giving it a spicy, slightly powdery bouquet. The base is where the masculinity sits: oakmoss adds a dry, forest-floor bitterness, cedar and sandalwood provide wood, leather and patchouli add depth, and amber and musk soften the finish.
This is a classic chypre-style composition, dense and old-school rather than fresh and clean. It suits cooler weather and the evening, and will appeal to men who like vintage-style scents with real floral presence.
