It is built on three closely related ideas. Marine notes and sea water open it with a cool, briny, open-air freshness, the kind of ozonic clarity associated with a harbour or a cliff path. Saffiano leather sets against them: smooth, polished and slightly dry, more the scent of a new leather bag than of a saddle or smoke. The composition is about that contrast, sea air meeting fine leather, rather than a long progression of notes, and it stays in that register from start to finish.
