Pear gives it a soft, juicy sweetness that sits at the centre of the fragrance and explains the gourmand impression, while grapefruit and pink grapefruit add a tart, sparkling bitterness that keeps the fruit from becoming syrupy. The flowers are jasmine and water jasmine, airy and dewy rather than heavy, together with hamanasu, the Japanese rose, which has a fresh, slightly fruity rose character. Woody notes give the composition a little structure and dryness, and musk closes it with a clean, soft, skin-like warmth.
