Azzure Oud by French Avenue, released in 2024, is a sweet, resinous fruity oud for men. Woody is the word everyone uses; about three fifths also call it gourmand, two fifths find it resinous, and a minority mention spicy, floral and leather shades.
Passionfruit and fruity notes open it with a tangy, tropical sweetness, while rose adds a velvety floral depth and saffron a dry, leathery spice. The heart is dark and resinous: agarwood for a rich, animalic wood, benzoin for a sweet balsamic glow and patchouli for earth. The base is heavy and warm: guaiac wood and cedar for smoky and dry wood, sandalwood for creaminess, amber and labdanum for a sticky, honeyed resin, leather for a supple grip and vanilla for a soft sweetness.
