Grapefruit and blood grapefruit open it with a bitter, juicy zest, apple adds a crisp sweetness and ginger with pepper and white pepper brings a warm, tingling spice. The heart is green and powdery: lavender for a clean aromatic lift, geranium and rose geranium for a rosy, slightly minty sharpness and iris for a cool, suede-like powder. The base is smooth: sandalwood and driftwood for creamy and dry, salty wood, patchouli for earth, amber for warmth and musk with white musk for a soft finish.
It wears as a polished everyday scent that suits spring and autumn, work and evenings alike, and someone who likes spiced citrus with an iris and geranium heart.
