500 Years is a spiced rose and oud scent with a soft suede finish, equally spicy, woody and floral to the people who wear it, with amber, leather and citrus noticed by about half. Etat Libre d'Orange released it in 2019, and it is worn by anyone.

Bergamot gives a brief bright start before saffron and cardamom take over, warm and faintly medicinal. The heart is the centre of gravity: Turkish rose, full and jammy, set against agarwood, which brings a smoky, slightly animalic depth, with geranium adding a green, minty lift. The base of patchouli, suede and amberwood is dry and warm rather than sweet, with the suede smoothing the oud into something wearable.

Most wearers report it long lasting, and projection is moderate for about half, strong for a good many. Winter and autumn take most of the season votes, and it is firmly a night-time scent, best for cold evenings, dinners and occasions where a bold rose-oud fits.
